A defining feature of The Deerstone experience is the Roundhouse, a beautifully designed circular meeting and event space created to foster collaboration, openness, and fresh thinking.
The circular layout encourages collaboration, placing everyone on equal footing without a designated head of the table. In this inspiring setting, hierarchies dissolve, and creativity flourishes as each voice feels equally valued and heard.

Guests are accommodated across a thoughtfully designed collection of eco-conscious lodgings (see our sustainability commitment), including A1-rated cottages, elegant shepherd’s huts, and premium lodge rooms, all set harmoniously within the natural landscape.
Our accommodation offering includes:
- Capacity for up to 46 guests (sharing)
- 22 individual accommodation units
Cottages
- Five luxurious cottages featuring 15 en-suite bedrooms
- Each cottage accommodates up to 6 guests sharing, or 3 individual occupants (one per bedroom)
Shepherd’s Huts
- Five bespoke, luxury shepherd’s huts
- Each hut accommodates 2 guests sharing, or 1 guest for private occupancy
Lodge Rooms
- Two premium lodge rooms
- Each room accommodates up to 2 guests sharing, or 1 guest individually
The Roundhouse is our largest communal area, which can facilitate a maximum of 60 guests in a presentation style setting, and 26 guests for yoga. The space is easily adapted for corporate events, including workshops, meetings, retreats, and wellness sessions.

The Barn
The Barn is the warm, rustic social heart of the property, a relaxed gathering place where teams naturally come together at the end of the day. With its cosy atmosphere, crackling fire, and informal setting, it’s the perfect space to unwind after a day of meetings.
To the front, a spacious outdoor area offers the ideal setting for enjoying sunnier days, while a fire pit to the side creates a natural spot for evening drinks, reflection, and relaxed conversation under the open sky. Here, guests gather to share a drink, play music, enjoy board games, or simply sit and talk long into the evening. It’s often in these relaxed moments that teams reconnect most deeply and conversations continue well beyond the meeting room.
The Shed
At the centre of The Deerstone is The Shed, a warm and welcoming space that serves as the hub of the property.
Overlooking the breathtaking landscapes of Wicklow National Park, The Shed is where guests are first welcomed on arrival and where many moments of the retreat naturally unfold.
With its cosy dining room, professional kitchen, and wood-fired stove, it provides an inviting setting for shared meals and informal gatherings. Large windows frame views of the surrounding countryside, while the outdoor terrace offers additional seating during warmer months. The Shed comfortably seats up to 26 guests indoors, creating an intimate atmosphere where teams can come together to share meals, conversations, and ideas. From spring time right through to autumn, we open our outdoor terrace, offering additional seating for 14. Our experienced chefs prepare seasonal, produce led menus designed to nourish and energise your team throughout the retreat.

Our kitchen is guided by the rhythms of nature, with vibrant, seasonal dishes crafted to nourish both body and mind throughout your stay. Many of our ingredients are grown right here on the grounds or sourced from trusted local producers across Wicklow. Each menu is led by what the land is offering in that moment, allowing us to create produce driven meals that capture the essence of the season, fresh, honest, and deeply connected to place.
Meals are served in our cosy dining room ‘The Shed’, where conversations and connections are encouraged, from relaxed breakfasts to memorable long-table dinners in the evening.

The Experience
Throughout their stay, groups enjoy exclusive access to the entire retreat, allowing ample opportunities to come together in shared spaces and connect as a team. From strategic sessions in the Roundhouse to immersive nature walks in Wicklow’s lush forests, The Deerstone provides a seamless balance of collaborative moments and tranquil personal reflection. Team members can also find pockets of privacy, whether they’re unwinding in the thoughtfully designed suites or reflecting quietly in nature’s embrace, fostering both individual rejuvenation and collective inspiration.
Dining
Dining at The Deerstone is an experience unto itself. An on-site chef crafts farm-to-fork meals using organic, locally sourced ingredients, transforming each meal into an exploration of flavour. With each dish, your team experiences the chef’s commitment to the environment and to nourishing their body and spirit.
Site Facilities and Sustainability
On-site, we offer guests exclusive access to our four saunas, ice baths, a heated outdoor pool, a games and drinks barn with live music, private hot tubs for each cottage, and Japanese soaking baths for each shepherd’s hut. Massages are available upon request.
All on a site that, in 2024, was 64% powered by our solar PV system. We hope to install a wind turbine this year to bring us closer to 100% energy self-sufficiency. Our kitchen runs on a zero-waste strategy, and we have recently launched our own growing programme, with our first produce being served in April 2025.

The Deerstone is an ideal setting to host your leadership and team building events. Being surrounded by the stunning landscape whilst enjoying the unique Roundhouse which we have told encourages deeper and more honest conversations and encourages group engagement. Colleagues will experience an enhanced feeling of inclusivity and connectedness. What works really well is the weaving of fun nature and wellness based activities into your schedule.
We also offer our guests the opportunity to use various seating options throughout the day such as formal seating arrangements in the morning followed by bean bag break out zones in the afternoon. For away days and meetings we can cater for up to 50 people.
