Here at The Deerstone, all of our accommodation has been conscientiously designed to take full advantage of the incredible mountain views and to allow our guests to feel connected with the landscape at all times. The Roundhouse
The Roundhouse is a nature inspired circular eco building overlooking Avonmore river and the surrounding countryside. This purpose built gathering space allows you to connect, create and decompress. Research shows that a roundhouse is a supportive cognitive environment which seems to connect people to each other and inadvertently, to the roots of our civilisation. This building is perfect for seminars, yoga, meditation and anything else you can think of.

Our beautiful mountain landscape ignites all of the senses and allows you to be as active or as peaceful as you wish. You can relax and restore your mind body and spirit in our woodland valley while enjoying a sauna, ice plunge pool, seaweed bath or swim in our secluded swim spa followed by a doze in a hammock on our sheltered river view terrace.

All of our accommodation and communal spaces have a A1 BER energy rating.
We have installed extensive PV paneling and air source heat pumps.
Our cleaning products are environmentally and vegan friendly.
Our timber for our communal fires is sustainably sourced.
We use salvaged and vintage wood and furniture where possible.
We support Irish and local trades/ craft producers in all areas of our business.
We use LED light bulbs throughout the resort.
We rainwater harvest.
We use sustainable & ethical brands – Cooperfish lighting, White & Green Bed linen, Baavet wool pillows & duvets, Snug.ie, Voya toiletries, Jam Factory Studio, Brady’s coffee.
